My creative approach, no matter the medium, is to uncover creative solutions and inspire thought-provoking ideas through innovative, effective copy.
My love for writing stems from my never-ending love of reading. For as long as I can remember, I've read everything and anything I could get my hands on. In first grade, we were tasked with writing and illustrating our own books. Whereas other children choose to create coloring books rather than novels, I filled two books with my very first short story collection.
I continued to pursue my love of writing and reading in college, where I double majored in English Literature and Creative Writing. I had my writing published in the university's literary journals, served as an editor for pRism, was the co-creator of a one-shot literary magazine, and interned at a local community arts center as a grant writer, event coordinator, and promotional writer.
Most recently, I was the Creative Director at an advertising agency, where I aided in the publication of healthcare, finance, legal, business, tourism, and lifestyle advertorials for Good Housekeeping, Redbook, Woman's Day, Seventeen, Fortune, Money, Bloomberg Businessweek, Entrepreneur, O the Oprah Magazine, House Beautiful, and Food Network magazines. I also blogged for my agency's HubSpot partner firm covering a broad range of inbound marketing topics.
Currently, I am the Content Strategist for MicroVentures, a venture capital firm, where I enjoy helping innovative startups find success every day.

I graduated from Miami University. The one in Ohio; it was a college before Florida was a state.
I relocated to the Austin area a year ago, and I love experiencing what the city offers (especially the food!).
I enjoy beating my friends on Mario Kart for the Nintendo 64...just not the Bowser's Castle stage, please.
